About Me

I’ve been face-to-face with faith and science my whole life:

I’ve done medical research at a leading Canadian university for almost three decades, and have published ~150 scientific research articles and book chapters.

In the process of trying to rebuild a Christian faith out of the remnants of a Fundamentalist one that had been shattered (by science, morality/ethics, and world religions), I obtained a Master’s degree in Theological Studies.

I’ve also served for over 30 years in various church ministries. including service on an elder’s board, leadership of youth groups and young adult groups, teaching in Sunday school classes (children, youth, young adult and adult classes), and numerous ministries of service.

  1. When can we expect season two of your podcast? Looking forward to more thoughtful insights into our faith.

    1. Stay tuned! Covid-19 has put a big dent on our spare time, but that pressure is easing. Ideas for episode topics are percolating, but we greatly value suggestions and requests.

      1. Still working my way through your podcasts and book. I so appreciate reasoned analysis tied with your personal testimony. As a person that grew up in the evangelical culture these past few years had left me disillusioned with where it seems to have taken the modern US church. Your podcast and others like the Holy Post give me hope there is a way forward without abandoning the church entirely. Thank you for your time and efforts!
